4:38 PM
"Tropical Storm Ernesto (45 mph) is swirling northwest at about 13 mph toward south Florida. After emerging over the waters of the Florida Straits this morning, Ernesto has maintained its northwest movement and is now about 135 miles south-southeast of Miami, Florida. The outer rainbands from Ernesto, which are appearing on local Key West and Miami radar, are sweeping through the Keys and approaching the southeast Florida coastline. Each squall that moves through will provide tropical downpours and occasional gusts over tropical storm force (at or greater than 40 mph)."
